Library
Hello from your guild librarians, Barb and Irene. If you have a request or would like to reserve a book, email us prior to the next meeting.
The Richmond Area Quilter’s Guild library was established early in the history of the Guild when a member donated a number of books and magazines. The library has grown since that ‘base’ was donated, but did you know that the Library still to this date is building its collection from donated books and magazines? Also, once or twice a year, the library has a garage sale to raise funds with which we can purchase a few new books.
So, let your friends, guests and businesses know that we are always happy to have books and magazines donated to our library.
Now a few rules about borrowing books:
- You must be a guild member to borrow a book
- You must show your membership card to borrow a book (even if the librarians know you)
- You must sign out a book by signing and dating the card inside the pocket
- Books may be kept for 1 month
- Materials returned in damaged condition, or lost, must be replaced or paid for
- Please try to restrict the number of publications your borrow to 2 to 3 items per month
- Please restrict yourself to one NEW publication per month, as to allow others to also have access to new material the library has just received
